The MacMomma Cook-off!

Introducing the first ever MacMomma Vegan Mac ‘n’ Cheese Cook Off (hosted by the Asheville Vegan Society and THE BLOCK Off Biltmore) to benefit the Asheville VegFest: A Celebration of Vegan Food and Drink

Here’s how it works:

Cook up your best vegan mac ‘n’ cheese dish and bring it to THE BLOCK Off Biltmore to be entered in the competition. (All entries must be set up and ready to go no later than 5:30.)

Your dish must include some type of pasta and some kind of vegan cheezy sauce. All entries must be vegan (no meat, fish, poultry, dairy, honey, or gelatin). Please bring enough for a bunch folks to have a small tasting of your dish. NOTE: All dishes must arrive prepared. There is no cooking on site. You may have your entry in a chafing dish if you’d like. There will not be electricity to plug in crockpots, etc. Please, bring your own serving utensil. Thank you!

Not a chef, not a problem! Please come and help us judge the entries, buy a green beer in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, and enjoy socializing. Please bring your appetite and your own plate and fork. Thank you! Plan to arrive at 5:00, check in, buy a drink, find a place to sit, and be ready to start tasting at 5:30!

Get your tickets early (https://macmomma.brownpapertickets.com/)! Advance tickets will be the first in line for tasting then at the door tickets will follow.

To Sample/Judge: $10

All proceeds go towards Asheville VegFest: A Celebration of Vegan Food and Drink. Prizes will be awarded for the top 3 winners. We hope to see you there! This will be one yummy competition!
